Physical data

Soft, odorless odorless white powder, hiding power and tinting strength, melting point 1560 ~ 1580 ℃. Do not dissolve in water, dilute mineral acids, organic solvents, oil, slightly soluble in alkali, soluble in concentrated sulfuric acid. When the heat becomes yellow, then turn white after cooling. Rutile (R type) density 4.26g / cm3, refractive index 2.72. R-type titanium dioxide has good weather resistance, water resistance and not easy to turn yellow, but slightly less whiteness. Anatase type (A type) density of 3.84g / cm3, refractive index of 2.55. A-type titanium dioxide lightfastness, weatherability, but whiteness is better. In recent years, it has been found that nano-sized ultrafine titanium dioxide (usually 10-50 nm) has semiconducting properties and has high stability, high transparency, high activity and high dispersibility, non-toxicity and color effect.
