Welding process of titanium plate and titanium tube

Pipe cutting and  beveling; pipe cutting and beveling should be carried out in a special  working place using mechanical processing methods. When processing, use non-polluting medium clean water to cool to prevent oxidation. Processing tools should be dedicated and kept clean to prevent iron contamination. The finished nozzle should ensure that the surface is flat and free of defects such as cracks and heavy skin. The maximum inclination deviation of the notch plane does not exceed 1% of the pipe diameter.

Surface  cleaning: Use a steel brush made of austenitic stainless steel to  remove all the welding surfaces of the titanium plate and the scale,  paint, dirt, dust and debris that can react with the titanium material  within 100mm of the groove. Use a grinding wheel to trim the machined surface and remove defects such as flash, burrs, bumps and the like.

Pairing:  Align and clamp the titanium tube and fittings, the axis should not be  offset, the gap is uniform, and the titanium tube should be prevented  from being damaged and contaminated during assembly. Avoid forcing group pairs. The tack welding uses the same welding process as the formal welding.

Degreasing  treatment: All the welding surfaces and 50 mm in the vicinity of the  groove are degreased with sulphur-free ethanol or sulfur-free acetone.  The treated surface should be free of any residue.

Titanium plate titanium tube welding equipment:

Welder: DC dc welder is used. The  welder should ensure excellent operating characteristics and regulation  characteristics, and be equipped with a good ammeter and voltmeter.

Welding torch: QS-75°/500 water-cooled TiG welding torch is adopted. The  welding torch should have a simple structure, light weight and  durability, the gun body is tight, the insulation is good, the air flow  is stable, and the tungsten holding is firm, which is suitable for  welding in various positions.

Argon gas delivery tube; semi-rigid plastic tube, rubber hose and other hygroscopic materials should not be used. It should be used exclusively when used, and should not be used in combination with pipes that transport other gases. The  argon tube should not be too long, so as to prevent the air pressure  from being unstable due to excessive pressure drop, generally not  exceeding 30m.

Welding  fixture: Set a pair of titanium plates and fittings with austenitic  stainless steel or copper tube kelins, locking bolts, etc. It  should be ensured that the titanium plate and the fitting have a  certain clamping force to ensure that the axis is consistent and the gap  is even and suitable.

Auxiliary equipment and tools: argon protective cover, polishing machine, special boring tool, stainless steel wire brush, etc.
